Peavey FX32 Mixers - Musicians stay clear!

A few weeks ago we bought a Peavey FX32 Mixer because we had a concert marathon with five evenings in succession. For all of them we needed more than the usual 16 channels and the FX32 looked like a good deal.....
...but then things went quite differently than we thought...
The first FX32 crapped out right before a concert with the digital section failing completely and two channels had failing solo LEDs! To save the night we hooked the PA up to the Bus outs. However we did not have ANY reverb because of the failed digital section. The next evening we used our old Studiomaster 16-2 again. We asked our equipment dealer to send us a replacement board which we got a few days before the next two gigs took place. Just to make sure everything works we let the new mixer run several hours non stop. Everything seemed to be fine now....
... but things went wrong again....
The second fx32 board failed during the two concerts! This time the whole output section failed leaving a horrible crackling sound on the PA! We had to reboot the board to get rid of the crackling! It seemed like a timing problem because on both evenings the crackling appeared about five hours after the mixer got switched on. Luckily after rebooting the mixer made it through the rest of the show without failing!
Having no more confidence in the digital section of the FX32 mixer we sent the second one back as well and got a refund. Now we use our trusty Studiomaster 16-2 again! Less channels, no built in effects BUT ROCK SOLID!
It’s really a pity because the FX32 is laid out very well, with lots of inputs, lots of AUXs, the digital effects and all the digital output processing. This could have saved us from lugging around all the side racks with Reverbs, Feedback Destroyers and EQs.
